Recruiting

West Michigan Division welcome's you to visit our facility and join in on our fun before you make the commitment to join.  We will accommodate up to two months of drill weekend visits.  You must have your parents permission to join us, and we encourage they spend some time with our Recruiting Instructor and observing our day.

The U.S. Navy Sea Cadets Crops provides youths:

  • Development of mental, moral & physical ability
  • Development of structure & principles of patriotism
  • Good citizenship
  • Instills a sense of duty &
  • Develops basic seamanship
  • Self respect & respect for others
    USNSCC Hats
  • Classroom training
  • College Scholarships

After joining Sea Cadets you have a multitude of trainings you will be able to participate in after you complete Boot Camp.  Sea Cadet training can be viewed at WWW.compass.seacadets.org

You should arrive at 0900 on the drill date.  Your attire should be appropriate PT gear, and non-marking tennis shoes.  Please let us know when you will be visiting us so that we are prepared for your arrival.  Final must is at 1700, have your parents prepared to pick you up at that time.

To Join, you must be:

  • Between the ages of 11 and 17
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Be a full time student and maintain satisfactory grades ("C" GPA)
  • Be free of felony convictions
  • Drug & Alcohol Free
  • Cadet Recruit can not be a parent or spouse
